We've added Iris's unique, traditional Dutch Spekulaas cookie spice blend to the mix for a warming festive delight!
We've been assessing cacao powder for years, some has tasted well but comes with opaque background. Some offered full traceability but didn't meet the flavour goals we had in mind. Most wasn't truly traceable, highly processed and not what we consider fine.
This powder comes from a tiny team in the South of Peru working with incredible cacao. The colour is surprising - it's light and hasn't been alkalised nor burnt, but even better, the high % of white cacao brings this fantastic terracotta hue. We will unveil more when we release our first bar, until then, enjoy!
EASY ICED CHOCOLATE RECIPE
1. Get your favourite CUP
2. Add a spoon or 2 of the powdered mix.
3. Add about ¼ Cup of (slightly cooled down) boiled water
4. Stir the mixture into a paste for about 30 seconds
5. Add a few ICE CUBES
6. Fill the rest of the cup with your favourite COLD MILK
from the fridge
7. Stir, add a straw if you have it and enjoy!
You can also use this mix for Hot Chocolate!
For this, skip the ice cubes and just add HOT MILK of your choice.
